Ashley Martin!
Here’s the ultrasound the day we found out we were expecting not one, but four beautiful babies. I was advised many times to "selectively reduce" my babies down to two. Although shocking, scary, and overwhelming, we knew God had a plan for each of these little lives. We knew that we, along with their big sister, were extremely blessed to be a part of it.
The babies were born prematurely at 28 weeks and 5 days after a 2 month long hospital bed rest stay for me. Although our NICU stay was over 3 months long, the babies were healthy and just needed to learn to breathe, eat and grow.
They are happy, healthy, beautiful, smart, and so much more. I look at all 5 of my children and can not imagine a life without them in it. Sometimes when I look at them, all of the selective reduction talks pop into my head, and I can't help but think, "Which two wouldn't I have here with me?" It's unimaginable, and I'm so thankful that our beliefs and faith made the "decision" for us.
